“Loved the pūrākau, the whanaungatanga and the overall experience! Will help heaps with changing our programmes for the better.”
“Since attending the noho marae at Waikari, I've restructured both our senior Outdoor Education programme as well as our Junior Health and PE programme to be based on important te ao Māori concepts. The students have enjoyed connecting more with their cultural identity and the mātauranga it has to offer us (feeling more empowered / proud of who they are and how they are connected with the land).”
“A haerenga can be a simple journey within your local area which holds so much meaning and rich cultural history.”
“The power of connecting pūrākau to places to bring the learning alive.”
